This Summer will mark “Skinner Releasing Leeds” AKA Sophie Alder and Rosemary Spencer’s 10th time running Moving Landscapes.
Moving Landscapes was first delivered in the summer of 2013. Way back when Sophie and I were newly qualified SRT teachers and just embarking of sharing this wonderful body of work.

Since then, it has been the constant in our shared offering. We both teach SRT and other disciplines separately and have delivered many classes/workshops in SRT together over the years. Almost annually (apart from a couple of blips due to that Covid thing!) we have come together in the wonderful landscapes of Yorkshire to share SRT in the studio and outside in beautiful settings. Exploring the magical woods of Timble, resting in the palpable presence of time/earth/mother nature/the universal network (call it what you will) at Brimham Rocks and playing in the joy and life of the Chevin.
We have always been based in Otley at the brilliant Otley Courthouse, and it always serves us well, with a lovely studio space, a great community vibe and a short walk to lots of lovely cafes and bakeries (essential on any intensive I feel). We have also been very fortunate over the years to be able to benefit from Otley’s wonderful community, by arranging for participants to get in touch with local host homes who put them up for free (or very little) for the week. Making the week more affordable for many and giving them a unique opportunity to see more of the local community.

It is no exaggeration to say that we both look forward to teaching it every year and I’d go so far as to say it’s my favourite working week of the year! It really is a joy to deliver. As our teaching and offerings mature and develop each year brings new opportunities and renewed excitement for sharing SRT in the landscape.
We would both like to say a huge thankyou to all those who joined us for Moving Landscapes 2013, 2014, 2015,2016, 2017, 2019, 2022,2023, 2024.
We look forward to meeting the 2025 cohort (spaces still currently available 4/3/25 see Moving Landscapes2025 for more info).
