Nathan Dryden is a movement artist based in Seattle, WA. Nathan completed a MFA in dance from the University of Utah and a BA in Studio Art – with a focus on performance, from UC Irvine. His work shifts through dance, improvisation, aerial-dance, and theatre. He is a certified instructor of the Skinner Releasing Technique at the Introductory and On-going levels, and served on faculty from 2003 – 2009 at the SRT summer intensives in Seattle. He works with Stephanie Skura in the Open Source Forms (OSF) teacher trainer program which integrates SRT and creative practice. He worked as a guest artist and teacher at universities across the United States and internationally – including residencies in Turkey, New Zealand, Canada, and England. He teaches SRT, OSF, LMA/BF, improvisation, contact improvisation, aerial-dance, creative process, kinesiology, dance and performance studies, aesthetics, and dance criticism. Nathan recently worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Utah, School of Dance.
