Connectivity | Alignment
What are we aligning with when we dance? When we practice, when we perform? Connectivity. How do we align with each other and the environment? Can we allow the presence of the surroundings of our dance to connect with us? How may it affect our attention and our dances?
Conditions will be created in which it is encouraged to learn to know something immediately through the body, to follow your curiosity, your interest. To know in the unknowing. And to ‘love the questions themselves’ (R. M. Rilke). We’ll play. Soft. Fierce. Subtle. Wild. Joyous. Courageous. Attentive. Aligning continuously. When we tune into the dances, issues of time, space or story and imagination may arise and be addressed.
We’ll be using Skinner Releasing Technique, with poetic imagery, softening into availability and readiness, and multidirectional (multidimensional) aligning, to tune into the dancing self. This. Here. Now. Creating dances in the expansive, layered moment.
