Skinner Releasing Technique as a doorway into Instant Composition

This 2-day workshop provides a first insight into the most important basic principles of Skinner Releasing Technique™ and their application for Instant Composition. It is designed for dancers, performers, dance teachers, somatic practitioners and movement lovers of all levels of experience. It speaks to everyone with an interest in engaging in the dynamic dialogue between imagination and movement as a ground for dancing and composing.

Both days start with a Skinner Releasing class followed by compositional explorations where we will create solos, duets and dance pieces in smaller or larger groups. For this we will combine the respective Releasing principles with an awareness of space, time and other compositional aspects. Read more
