This is a workshop offered during the festival Potsdamer Tanztage. It’s in a beautiful terrain with studios and a theater, a cosy cafe, by the water and parks. Wonderful place and context to meet people or to find a place by yourself.
In this workshop, connections will be made that support both dance technique and creative process simultaneously through working with principles of SRT, Biodynamic Craniosacral practice and Improvisation. Through play and embodied listening the participants will find out how presence and transparency are related and enhance each other. Different ways of being present can come to the surface. Someone’s natural presence affects the way one relates to others being present. In developing their awareness and abilities related to presence and transparency they have more choice and artistic freedom.
Some areas of attention that can support the experiential understanding of presence and transparency may be midlines and peripheries, wholeness and differentiation, allowing and choice, softening and power, receptivity and fierceness, dynamic stillness and action.
