Moving Landscapes 2026 – SAVE THE DATE

Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT) and Dance Improvisation
“Fundamentally changed the way I reference my experience with nature” (Previous participant)
Through the week we will explore SRT in the studio and outside, finding improved alignment, ease, articulation, and freedom of movement. Poetic imagery, hands on partner work and movement explorations will encourage the releasing of old habits, allowing new possibilities to occur. These ideas will be taken into three contrasting environments: the secluded forest of Timble, the vast, rocky landscape of Brimham Rocks and Otley Chevin with its dramatic views. Inside and outside are integrated, allowing new perception and creativity to emerge.
“The course was really well paced over the 5 days. The content of the studio work supported and enhanced the content of the outdoor sessions and visa versa. The structure of the Skinner Classes seemed to help me make sense of the wider games and exercises in the various settings outside, lots of echoes and reverberations.” (Previous participant)
