Information
In this intensive workshop, Cleo Tabakian will teach classes 1 to 5 in the beautiful Drôme countryside, in France.
This weekend is the first of a series in which the 15 classes of the introductory pedagogy will be given.
Two other workshops will cover class 6 to 10 (March 2025 14th, 15th, 16th) and class 11 to 15 (June 2025 14th, 15th, 16th).
It is a wonderful opportunity to study the whole introductory cycle in a newly open interdisciplinary studio dedicated to movement improvisation and research.
Skinner Releasing Technique is a progressive pedagogy created by Joan Skinner in the late sixties in the United States. Still little known in France, it is both a dance technique and a somatic practice placing imagination at the heart of the learning process. Poetic images awaken, arouse, and alter spontaneous movement. Rigorously structured, each class is a changing geography that resonates beyond the studio. This workshop is aimed at professional dancers, actors, improvisers or anyone curious about movement and imagination.
Skinner Releasing Technique is radical, inclusive and rigorously transformative.
